I came away with the following understandings:

Lyraare ones with face bruises -
race whose name I forgetare the tired head-poison ones (dark circles around eyes; pale/white lips) -
Dwarveshave looooong beards and/or shinies on their head -
Humanscan change themselves to look like any of the above; humans make it confusing… -
Elveshave pointy ears; Humans can’t have pointy ears
