2nd Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest

The HOA will once again be hosting a pumpkin carving contest during our next gathering! This time, however, we are opening the contest to all residents of Oak Harbor. Here are the details:

  • Bring a pumpkin and whatever supplies you may need, and find time on Willowsday to carve your pumpkin before dusk.
  • Pumpkins will be put on display after dinner.
  • People will have until midnight to vote for the 3 pumpkins they like best.
  • Votes will be tallied Aldersday morning and winners will be announced during breakfast.

There will be prizes (yet to be determined) for the 3 pumpkins with the most votes. So, come and prepare to get creative!

(Oog note: we will bring what supplies and tea lights we can, but we don’t have enough for everyone. Please bring some if you plan to participate.)

To all pumpkin carvers: if/when you gut your pumpkin for carving, I beg of you to save the seeds for me. I will bring gallon freezer bags you can gut your pumpkin directly into!!! Whatever it takes to get the seeds (if there are people who want the guts of the pumpkin for cooking means, I’m happy to give you that so long as I can harvest the seeds first)!!!
