Aaron/Malori here, excited to announce that I’m running for the RFR Board! I started LARPing at Witchwood in late 2023, and that first event was one of the best weekends of my life. I have not missed an event since! I’m sure you all know Malori, either for her role as the town Gravekeeper, a very helpful Mystic, an Emissary, a Birdwhistle, or a Hurz-ish turned full Hurzicht. Either way, you’ll know I worked to make her someone in Oak Harbor can turn to for help. This was not just for roleplay. I’m just like that!
Since joining this community, I have been looking for any way I can support everyone here. I bear the Mark of the Red Feather, I devote a good deal of time and energy toward helping set up and clean up for events, donate stuff when I can, and am often trying to make staff’s life easier. I am community-driven and want to do what’s best for everyone, and am always open to hearing others’ thoughts and ideas. I get along with and like just about anyone, but I don’t tolerate bullies or other poor behavior. If someone is making you feel uncomfortable, I got your back.
I work with autistic folks with high support needs and am teaching communication, respect, boundaries, etc. day in and day out, and have earned their respect, even folks who are known to cause problems on purpose. With me on the Board, you know I’ll prioritize your comfort, health, safety, and fun.
