  • the look of horror then breaking into laughter as an Elliot shaped, circled up grindelow turn to realize that Dolan was standing behind them with their sword inches from them.

  • getting to do Mar’s runic ceremony.

  • Also the harmonized anglerfish. At one point i was as far into the cave as I could get and realized how cute and extremely dangerous it was.

Your ritual was very much a highlight for me!! I was honored to be invited and to play a role in your character’s development! I find it funny that my character who doesn’t understand emotions could be the one to be people’s emotional support

You guys were such champs when investigating the cave. I legitimately was so pleased to see you guys have a rapid discussion in hand gestures, getting what you came for, and ditching. Not a peep made until everybody was several feet away from the mod hall. You all heard “dangerous cave of sleeping monsters” and went “nope, we are not even attempting to whisper. NO SOUNDS WILL BE MADE. NONE”

  • the Friday night Commerce Rats who so very politely waited for Jasper, Vel, and Fáelán to finish having our deeply emotional letter reading and pinky-promise making moment before conducting their Commerce and leaving us unconscious and sprawled across the empty tavern floor. We waited 4 and a half minutes before being found, and the poor souls who found us couldn’t do anything and had to just leave us on the floor.
  • learning about Erris’s past and the specific interaction of Vel telling Erris “I think you’ve been nothing but good luck here.” and Erris realizing no one had told her that, and that was something she so deeply needed to hear brought so many tears to my eyes. An incredibly emotional and healing moment watching them hug and be teary eyed together.
  • one of the tavern bats hanging from my antlers was adorable, 10/10 would let them roost again
  • witnessing and recording the druid ritual and the stories told during it was very cool, Big W for all present and future Druids with that ritual
  • the conversations happening outside the tavern at Pie Serving time were so Out There and an incredible bed of fantastic quotes
  • everyone coming out to see the Northern Lights and see some shooting stars was truly magical both in and out of game
  • “Yeah, Marrok does just kinda have ‘Dad energy.’” and “Marrok needs to be joined into the Subdue game.”
  • late night lore too big for Fáelán’s little walnut brain that left them wondering "what makes a person a ‘person’?’
  • Enki’s lyra mark ritual was a major highlight of this gather for me, it was so incredible to witness and be a part of and I had tears streaming down my face for the entire thing. I don’t have the proper words to describe how honored I was to be part of it. I do have to laugh at the leadup to in the tavern, where anyone passin by would have had no context for Yorick going: “Fáelán and Dolan can rock-paper-scissors to see who gets to be your Uncle.”

The progression of the presentations at the Veliar Symposium was about perfect.

“Here is my lovely artwork.”
“Here is my interesting and slightly creepy Mystic research.”
“My research is classified and will be presented later.”
“My research is a threat to the fabric of the Realms. Here’s what I’ve got so far.”

We couldn’t have planned that better. :slight_smile:

That table had so many good and unhinged quotes and I wish I could remember more. My favorite Morpho line to me and Vel was the “So the Lyra community is like gluten…” and Vel responding with “Because we rise?” and us breaking into laughter.
Other highlights for me were the "Mushroom polycules"and the “Magmyriad - sea serpent meet cute” but us worrying that the fighting Magmyriad were too territorial to be able to share the “monogamous sea serpent.”
OH I almost forgot the conversation about blood drinking butterflies and Morpho going “they never suspect the butterflies” while tapping their fingers together evilly.

Amos also passionately stating "I’ve done done bone armor packs before. Trust me, they’re cool."and then the table spitballing Bone Pack Name ideas, the only one I remember noting down was “OsteoLupines.”
Also a silly moment of trying to explain to Selmar the "Boy Band of Oak Harbor"and him pausing for a moment to think, then asking “How is it a Boy Band? Are there even any boys in the Boy Band?” and we realize that there are indeed more non-boys in the Boy Band than boys.

Honestly the outside table shenanigans were some of the best times I’ve had in a game. Highlights for me were:
Mushroom Entity Polycules
Sea Serpent Monogomy
Enemies to Lovers to Hive Mind ship for Mycordia/Ficus (which is how we got started on that)
The general vibes and jokes and laughter were just very very good. I promised myself I’d remember it because it was for sure the good times and so often those moments get so slippery.
We also had some pretty insane theory crafting regarding Be-One’ing things like mushroom entities and weird elf and Lyra abilities to do with balance and cycles.
In general the mix of serious game metaphysics and outrageous humorous statements and outbursts was what I live for at games so thanks everyone for rocking.

Also from an OOG perspective: My crew at Divine Intervention all played swamp people covered in bones and furs and when we went to battle we’d pull on bone masks and it was just so fucking perfect as a squad. In general themed squads are just so good! Highly recommend.
