Astrophel and Ralkurian have now entered the running with Vel and Kellis for best joke.
Basically every interaction I had as Scourge was a delight.
During my Velliar talk, as I was complaining about how the Aranae destroyed a scroll I wanted:
Eleanora: “Did they destroy it, or are there pieces?”
Me: “I think they just shredded it. Why, want to piece it together?”
Eleanora: shrugs “Sure!”
Signe: “Solving puzzles to help someone tamper with the fragile balance of the Realms is what Oak Harbor does best!”
Me: “…very good point.”
When I got home, my 2-year-old saw my Lyra mark, laughed delightedly, and said, “It’s like a fan!”
Minor correction: This was Lesovik riffing off Signe’s comments about solving puzzles to tamper with the fabric of reality.
I loved it as well and wrote it down immediately to not forget.

Also a not funny but deeply poignant in game moment:
Erris had at one point somewhat jokingly called Enki their younger sibling. Hearing Enki say that back totally unironically made Erris realize that not only is Enki truly and deeply someone Erris considers family, but for the first time since she was a child that she actually has a true family now. It’s part of why she’s started intentionally calling Eleanora mom. Those bonds are everything to her.
Also the tears weren’t 100% just in character. That moment with all of us together sharing about the ways we’re connecting to each other as a community was genuinely really touching.
The fight with the Treasure head was very tough but we succeeded with minimal losses. It was high stakes but we made it and I was very very proud with how well the town did in the fight.

Enki making that unexpected BMV call that dropped an enemy. It was such a clutch move. Props to Zelai and Signe for having the presence of mind to delay enemies out in the open so Enki could get it off.

Elliot as a Silver Court fae repeatedly looking over Kellis with a disturbing face and saying, “interesting”. It made my skin crawl.
Lastly, finding weird stuff in the woods was pretty awesome. I was showing Junior and Giles off to everyone.

And finally, Ralkurian approaches Nem, Yorick, Enki and Vai friday night talking about emotions being annoying and asking what is needed for getting a contract ritual for their matriarch from another teacup. As I explain how it works, I see Nem grabbing the emergency ruby and obsidian from the healer circle box leading to this amazing exchange.
Ralkurian: So what gems do we need to do this
Nem: I have them right here
Yorick: So I just need a purified blade, paper and bowl and we can get this done right now.
Ralkurian: distinct pause We need a parent?
Yorick: We have another matriarch right here
Ralkurian: I think we will need time to decide what contract would be best.
-doing the ritual to stabilize my Lyra affinity was a really incredible moment for me. It really felt like the end of a character arc for Enki that they’ve been going through for their time here so far where so much stuff just kinda coalesced.
I did my best to make it feel like I knew what I was doing (I did not). I wrote down things for all of the participants as best I could and then just kinda riffed off what I had. But I meant every word I said. I appreciate everyone who participated so, so much.
-Enki learned some hard lessons this gather.
-the BMV snipe was incredible to land. That is the kind of moment Ive been wanting out of deadeye and finally having the chance to pull off a shot like that was incredible. I did accidentally use the wrong call, which was my bad but i feel like it doesn’t really take away from the moment. I had so many thoughts running through my head as I was doing my countdown and then I actually made the call and realized that I had never actually expected to get that far and had no plan and no idea what to do next.
I’m a perfectly normal and innocent and not at all scary fae what are you talking about :3 we had such good conversation :3
-getting a letter Friday night that was from scourge but which scourge had hilariously addressed to themselves by accident was honestly very funny once the Davenstern messenger figured out what happened.
-finally getting revenge for the time kellis subdued me spring 2 before the Agatha fight and I had to listen to basically the whole town sing me the wake up song. Kellis 's reaction was extremely funny
-watching matteis assassinate scourge’s rat and immediately being delivered consequences by scourge and then having Amos wander over and threaten scourge only for scourge to clearly be delighted was just extremely funny to play out. Deciding to subdue Amos to make the situation worse was just for my own personal amusement
-late night chat with Vaiatea, Yorick and mar Friday night was also really good, lots of people challenging each other’s personal beliefs in interesting ways.
Playing a sleeping baby Anglerfish, and listening as all the Anglerfish synchronized our “snoring” (humming), without planning to, was surprisingly great
The dance mod was really delightful, and I want to thank everyone for taking part.
So I’d given Vel a lesson on spirit shield, where she had to use a spellshield. She’d not succeeded in doing this during the Treasure fight.
me: “Did you get your lesson done?”
Vel: “no, I forgot I had a spellshield”
me: “Vel do you have a spellshield?”
Vel: “yes”
me: “Death!”
Vel’s eye’s get wide as she starts to slump.
me: “You can resist”
Vel: “resist”
And literally no one in the outside tavern area questioning me about Death’ing Vel…
