Hi everyone,
I wanted to formally announce that we’re having a transition of the RFR ombuds position. After several years of service, Kep is going to take a well deserved break, and I am going to be stepping into the role.
Many of you know me, but if you don’t, I’m staff at Witchwood and I played Helianthus at Entanglement.
So, what does the transition mean to you?
1. Right now ombuds@redfeatherroleplaying.com and customerservice@redfeatherroleplaying.com point at both of us. At some point in the next couple months, it will become just me. Please continue to use this address any time you have a topic for which you need to talk to someone and aren’t sure where else to turn. The ombuds can listen to any of your concerns and tell you where to go next. They can be your intermediary to bring things up to the Board, staff, or other players if you do not wish to do so directly. They can assist with mediation, or with helping you decide you want to bring a topic to the Conduct Committee.
2. Since the Ombuds is not a member of the Conduct Committee, I will be stepping down as a committee member. The committee president (Joy) will post about the nominations process for a new member soon.
3. People have asked about getting Mark of the Red Feather pins. I will be organizing some brief training for people who would like pins.If you have not already reached out, let me know if you are interested.
4. I’ll be overseeing the next round of Board elections. More details on that TBD. If you would like to run, start thinking about it.
