The Color Guard and the Current Escalation in the Reverie Vigor War

This is posted on the Town Bulletin

Greetings Citizens of Oak Habor,

I post this in the hopes that perhaps I can reach out to those who want to not have our town in the center of a war between realms yet again. I understand, given my position as an Emissary of Vigor, that I should probably be rallying you all to fight against Reverie and the Color Guard. I should be pushing to get you all ready for this war.

Instead, I want to ask for your help in trying to deescalate. Many of you, have been given doll parts to go into Vigor by the Color Guard known as Spring Tint. Many of you have been given dream tokens and asked to help make things to capture the essence of the dream by the Nightmare known as Gouache. Some might have even received a painting to complete that will help you though next gather. I know I have helped Gouache in this way. I have helped contribute to the problem.

We, dubbing ourselves “Team Peace” unless someone in this team has a way better name, currently believe that the Doll Parts are being kept alive because of this work we are doing for the Color Guard. With each dream, powered by Reverie or otherwise, we are giving the Color Guard more fuel. We, the dreamers of Oak Harbor, are letting them build their tools for this war. I, unfortunately, have been responsible for some of this myself.

So, to that end I am committing to stop helping the color guard. I don’t know if explaining our current theory and asking you to stop helping with these creations will get you to stop. I don’t think any of us want to be in the center of a war. I understand if given my role, many of you may not trust my request. The gifts of the color guard have, indeed, been helpful. But regardless, I am going to ask anyway. Please, help us defuse a war.

Hello Oak Harbor,

Yes, unfortunately, as far as I can tell, everything Yorick stated above is true. Reverie cannot expect dreamcrafted weapons to work as planned in Vigor. I believe the Color-guard took over that particular Night Market that particular night for the same reason I was there: it was known to be converging in reach of Oak Harbor, notorious for whimsy.

The Color Guard are using you. They are feeding you instructions to dream about making what they need to re-shape and re-make and eventually re-cast other realms. A Reverish weapon with an Evrish paintjob.

If you made a deal for an item given to you at last Winter Feast, that can still be used, I ask you not to use it. I expect some, if not most, items are innocent. I am most concerned by anything provided by Spring Tint Generally I support the idea of the Color Guard, but using Dreamers in this way is a bit low.

So why is a weaver telling you not to power a weapon for Reverie?

The same reason I’m sabotaging the weapons of Vigor.

There is a normal kind of war between Reverie and Vigor. It sucks, but it serves a purpose.

What these exchanges are leading to is not like that war.

If anyone who attended the feast brings me any of the items mentioned above, with uses unspent, I will do my best to answer questions and make the value up to you. Some are probably not dangerous, we can look together.

Most sincerely, crazy as it all sounds, I know,

Ravenna
